However, there are also options that are best to avoid. Even if your cross-cut shredders have been struggling for a while, <strong>don\u2019t use WD40<\/strong> on the device.<\/p>\n<p>Universal lubricants like WD40 don\u2019t provide the right lubricating experience for your shredder. The penetrating oil can damage the blades and make paper entry and cross-cut shredding more difficult in the future. You can use the cross-cut function during this maintenance process.
